Checking some things out prior to signing a contract or making a down payment on modeling courses is always prudent. Verify the agency's credentials by checking state and local licensing. Ask for a list of models who work through the agency and clients who have used the agencies models. Verify this information directly with the clients. Be sure you fully understand any representations made either during the sales presentation or in the agency literature. Keep copies of all important papers and be sure to get all verbal promises in writing. Go to several modeling agencies and inquire about your changes of becoming a model.
